Who we are

Blue Jay Theatre Company is a brand-new performance art producing company based in the heart of North Wales. Founded in 2025 by husband-and-wife team Jordan and Amy Barnes, Blue Jay was born from a shared passion for theatre and a vision to bring bold, exciting, and inspiring performances to our communities both locally and nationally. We also are teamed up with local artist Ella Goodall to bring you some of the best tribute shows.

We are dedicated to creating opportunities for people of all ages to experience the joy of live theatre—whether on stage or in the audience. Our work spans from producing professional shows that entertain and challenge, to running our weekly youth theatre session, where young people can develop their creativity, confidence, and love for the arts in a fun and supportive environment.

At Blue Jay, we believe theatre should be accessible, imaginative, and community-driven. As we take flight in our very first year, we’re excited to share our productions, workshops, and events with North Wales and beyond.

Join us on this journey—we can’t wait to welcome you into the world of Blue Jay.

Youth Theatre Sessions

At Blue Jay Youth Theatre, we believe in nurturing the next generation of performers, creators, and theatre lovers. Our sessions provide a fun, welcoming, and professional space for young people to explore the magic of musical theatre while building skills that last a lifetime.

What We Do
Each week, our members work with industry professionals who bring real-world theatre experience straight into the rehearsal room. Sessions focus on:

  • Acting – developing stage presence, characterisation, and storytelling.

  • Singing – building vocal technique and confidence in both ensemble and solo work.

  • Dance & Movement – learning choreography and expressing stories through physicality.

  • Teamwork & Creativity – encouraging collaboration, imagination, and self-expression.

Right now, our youth theatre is rehearsing for an exciting Musical Theatre Showcase, giving every member the chance to shine on stage and share their hard work and passion with family, friends, and the wider community. This performance will be performed in October half term.

At Blue Jay, it’s about more than just performance—it’s about confidence, community, and the joy of theatre.
